About Me.
We all come from somewhere(s) and this somewhere regularly shapes and steers us from and towards the path of our true self. Like you, I too have been on this path and often still find myself revisiting my journey towards more healing.
Perhaps you have more than once found yourself uttering this statement or something like it, "I thought I was done in therapy! Now, I have to find a new therapist, again!?!" I've been there, many times, having been in and out of therapy since I was 18. I've utilized therapy at different times/needs in my life from learning how to actually have a healthy relationship to giving myself permission to be more than a size or way of eating to dealing with all the family stuff to when I struggled from significant postpartum distress.
This is all to say, there is no finality, specific course of treatment, or magic wand with therapy. Rather, it's there when you need it. It's okay to be in it for a few sessions or even just one. It's okay to be in it for years. There's no judgement here from when you find yourself in need of therapy. In an ideal world, we could all benefit from a monthly therapeutic check-in.
I am a trauma focused and learned therapist. My lens is shaped by each individuals' stories and how these stories have shaped the person's narratives of their lives, their relationships, their parts and their self. Your story makes sense to me and I will help it make sense for you.
